The Blonde Bombshell Meets the High Seas

Well, hello again! I am excited to say that tomorrow I will be leaving to go to Fort Lauderdale on vacation. I hoped you all would join me on the trip, but since people have other things going on—I will take you along for the ride through my Travel Blog. So back to Ft. Lauderdale— it’s not our final destination–no. We will be embarking on a floating vessel fit to carry 6,400 passengers and 2,160 crew throughout our journey into the Caribbean for eight days and seven nights. Get excited because we are hopping aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas Saturday and plan to get right into the heart of the action as soon as we are there.

Currently, I am packing for said trip. I have my extra-large suitcase with me. I expect that I will be bringing home some souvenirs. Plus –It never hurts to have more space! So far, I have all my dinner outfits and shoes to match, plenty of swim suits and cover ups…and other odds and ends. The image to the left is the Oasis of the Seas in its entirety! Below is a nighttime picture of the ship looking through the open-air center where you can walk through Central Park. I will be attempting to upload my own photos from the ship to keep you all informed as to my latest adventures!

A little about our itinerary–Sunday we are docked in Nassau, Bahamas. Tuesday we are in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. Wednesday we are in Philipsburg, St. Maarten. We have some excursions planned for the last two islands. I scheduled myself a FloRider lesson for 8 AM Sunday morning–either a great time or the start of a really bad trip–literally.  Stay tuned for updates!
